LapTouch is an independent continuation of the discontinued AirBar product line originally developed by Neonode, Inc. (NASDAQ: NEON). Over the past three years, NeoSapien (D/B/A Toad Tech) has privately modernized the technology in collaboration with former AirBar engineers, creating a fully updated, macOS-compatible system through a “spin-out” style initiative. This joint initiative has modernized the technology for full macOS compatibility.

The new LapTouch system builds on the proven “center-of-gravity” light-sensing principles pioneered in AirBar, now enhanced with NeoSapien’s patent-pending macOS touchscreen driver, redesigned hardware housing, updated firmware, and modern USB-C integration.

Reviving a Cult-Favorite Technology for Mac Users

Originally popularized under Neonode’s AirBar brand, the technology enabled touchscreen interaction on Windows laptops. After Neonode discontinued the product and divested manufacturing assets and sensor inventory, NeoSapien began working with former AirBar engineering advisors to develop a fully modernized, Mac-compatible continuation.

Only 500 units will be produced in the initial manufacturing run, making early reservation critical for customers, creators, and members of the press. Each of the 500 units will be hand-assembled in the United States.
