Gem Resources PLC (LSE:GEMR) has approved a new policy allowing it to hold and manage cryptocurrencies as part of its corporate treasury, while stressing that its main business remains emerald mining in South Africa and Australia. The London-listed miner said the move would let it accept payments for emerald sales in Bitcoin and other approved digital assets, with proceeds either converted to traditional currencies or held in line with board-approved risk limits.
